Gasoline has become unquestionably a basic requirement of living and the greatest drawback is that it’s non-renewable. Scientists predict that with the current rate of consumption we’ll be left out with no more than 20% Gasoline by year 2050 hence there is a dire need to find alternative sources of energy production. Last time we showed concept provided by young African girls who have successfully utilized urine as a source of energy.
British scientists are going to write history because they are attempting to change the laws of nature by converting a non-renewable source to renewable source of energy. They have developed a way to generate gasoline out of thin air that we breathe and live in. Their attempts will not only make gasoline renewable yet also neutralize carbon. The basic concept behind is the conversion of methanol into gasoline. Scientist will try and produce methanol from the ingredients already present in air i.e. carbon, hydrogen, oxygen from the CO2 and water vapors. The only thing they are worried about is that whether this process balances the equation of input and output? Meaning that; required energy for conversion must be less than the output energy obtained from gasoline produced.
British company Air Fuel Synthesis steps in and takes the challenge to demonstrate that the technique is worthy of producing viable fuel and that it can be used as an efficient source of energy. The first phase of project demonstrated by the company is that this type conversion is possible.
The company believes this fuel is not only viable yet it is much more suitable for high performance vehicles. The biggest benefit is the neutral carbon released due to the burning of air converted gasoline which can be again utilized for the production of gasoline.
