The Revolution in the Computing; Voice, Facial and Gesture Control

The evolution of computing interaction and interface is happening. Intel calls this shift or transformation as “perceptual computing,” a revolution in the computing sector to make computer’s control more natural using voice, facial recognition and hand gestures. This year, Intel will be bringing all three versions through its perceptual computing program.  The idea behind perceptual computing is to make computers more perceptive by interfacing with natural human features and senses.

Intel in partnership with Nuance, Creative and Jigsaw is going to bring advanced voice recognition system to PCs which will support languages of 27 different countries, also see a $150 3D camera peripheral that’ll sense close-range gestures from between six to 36 inches. The camera has smart abilities it could recognize up to five skeletal fingers precisely in a game where one has to pick up a coin virtually. The third part is facial recognition system incorporated by company named Jigsaw. According to Intel facial recognition is a valuable asset to computer’s safety. Using the perceptual computing, Intel can incorporate next to impossible crack passwords which will safeguard one’s data and personal files. The 3D facial recognition is very sensitive and classy; it has the capabilities to detect multiple muscular points on the face of a person making the computer unbelievably safe.
